Sexual Violence Support Training

The University of Guelph provides a variety of trainings available to staff, faculty, and students on responding to Sexual Violence on Campus. Training categories are divided into Universal Training (for all campus community members) and several Targeted Training groups that have customized content, depending on their roles and status on campus.

Training is delivered through a variety of in-person and online methods that incorporate internal online-modules, external online training courses, embedded, and open-call trainings. Embedded training delivery is coordinated through the Sexual Violence Support and Education portfolio with the support of trained on-campus facilitators and external expert resources.

1.3 Responding to Disclosures on Campus This training includes seven modules with video scenarios, practice quizzes and links to important resources to help you respond supportively and effectively to disclosures of sexual violence on campus. 3.3 Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence- Frontline This training has been developed for front-line responders and service providers in the law enforcement, social work, and education sectors. The overarching training outcome is to develop effective responses to victims/survivors who report or/disclose experiences of sexual violence that will sustain support and intervention from that point forward.
