Physician Services

Health Services Physicians function as your family doctor while you are studying at the University of Guelph. Physicians can be seen for:

  • periodic health exams
  • illnesses or injuries
  • mental health
  • investigation of physical complaints
  • treatment of acne
  • sexually transmitted infections
  • possible pregnancy
  • stress related symptoms or illnesses
  • management of chronic diseases
  • smoking cessation
  • any other health or illness inquires

Physicians are available by appointment. A Drop-In Clinic is also available for the sudden onset of illness or injury. Health Services medical staff includes a psychiatrist. A referral is required from a doctor to see the psychiatrist. See our Physician and Staff Directory for their profiles.


Appointments can be booked by calling 519-824-4120 x52131 between 8:30am to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday. For more information, visit the Booking An Appointment page.

Same-day appointments are limited and can be booked, by phone or by drop-in, from 8:30am during weekdays until they are full.

Drop-In Clinic

Health Services offers drop-in clinic 8:30am-4:00pm Mondays - Thursdays and 9:00 am - 2:00 pm on Fridays from the start of the term to the last day of exams (in both the Fall and Winter semesters) for emergencies or sudden onset of illness or injury. No appointment is required for drop-in. Please note that there is no drop-in during reading week, holiday closure, or the summer semester.

Evening Hours

Please note that there are currently no evening Drop-In clinics offered.

Please ensure 24 hours notice of appointment cancellation. If you need to cancel your appointment call 519-824-4120 x52131 and leave a message on the Cancellation line.

Missed Appointment Fees
