Emma Plater - Physiotherapist


Emma is a graduate of the University of Guelph and Queen’s University. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Guelph with a research interest in skin sensation and its relation to balance and gait. Emma has furthered her physiotherapy education by completing courses in Integrated Dry Needling, Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (ART) and Sport First Responder and is currently working towards her intermediate manual therapy certification. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Her treatment techniques include the use of Manual Therapy, Specialized Exercise and Soft Tissue Release. As a runner and a former elite triathlete, her clinical interests include endurance sport injuries, strength/aerobic conditioning following injury and rehabilitation in altered skin sensitivity.
