Online Tests & Quizzes

Students may let their instructors know that they get extra time for online tests and quizzes. This request applies to the entire semester. SAS can confirm the amount of additional time the student requires.

Instructors must adjust the time for online tests and quizzes manually in Courselink. SAS does not have the access or permissions to do so.

Because instructors have to adjust each online assessment for each SAS student, it can be a slow process. Courselink software has no way of automatically granting extra time to students with disabilities.

As an alternative solution, some instructors have embraced Universal Design. Using this approach, the instructor determines the standard length of the test, and then all students are given double that time, thereby eliminating the need to provide individual extra time accommodations.
