Meet the staff:
Dr. Weersink
MD, CCFP, Dip. Sport Medicine
Dr. Weersink completed her medical school at the University of Ottawa, followed by her Family Medicine Residency at McMaster University. She then completed the Sport and Exercise Medicine Fellowship through the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine clinic at Western University.
She stayed on to work a few years at Western University as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Family Medicine and split time between the various Fowler Kennedy clinics. She continues to be involved as a Team Physician with Hockey Canada and Rowing Canada.
Now Dr. Weersink is excited to bring this experience home to Guelph, and join the Sports Medicine team at the Health and Performance Centre. Dr. Weersink has expertise and is happy to see any activity related MSK injury, including concussions, in the young to old recreationally active to elite athlete.
