SAS Connections
SAS Connections is an opportunity for students and their parents/guardians to obtain information about Student Accessibility Services and campus services to help better understand and prepare for the transition from high school to university. There will be both in-person and virtual options:
Connections On-Campus: The in-person SAS Connections is a great opportunity for students to become familiar with campus and SAS services prior to the fall.
Dates: July 10th or July 24th from 10am - 3pm
- Learn about SAS and the Transition to University
- Review of SAS services and supports
- Find out what to expect in first year
- Campus Tour
- Parent session on how to support your student in first year
- Q&A Drop-In with SAS Advisor
- Optional - Module 1 EYES at U of G
Register for Connections On-Campus : Registration required at least 2 weeks prior to the event date
Connections Virtual:
Dates: July 15th or July 29th at 4:00pm
This one-hour information session will provide an overview for SAS Students and their families on:
- How to connect with SAS
- The role of your advisor and how accommodations are determined
- Your role in accessing supports
Common themes include: taking a reduced courseload, OSAP and bursaries, documentation requirements, transition programs.
There will be an opportunity for SAS students and parents/guardians to ask questions.
