START Accessible: What to Expect

This two-day, in-person event is taking place Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30, 2024.

SAS provides orientation programs to help students transition to life as a university student with a disability. These programs are for students who are new to the University of Guelph and who have a disability. Learn more about our Summer SAS Events.

Thursday, August 29th

  • Welcome Presentation
  • Check-in
  • Resource Fair
  • Advisor Connection Forum
  • Requesting Exam Accommodations
  • Informal connection activities

Friday, August 30th

  • SAS Services Tours
  • Session drop-ins

Students living on campus and participating in START Accessible may choose to move into residence Wednesday, August 28th or Thursday, August 29th morning. RSVP required by August 2, 2024. 

 


START Accessible: Full Schedule TBA Mid-August

Students must submit a SAS Application Form in order to be eligible for the START Accessible programming.

Important: Tests & Exams

If you use the SAS Exam Centre, please remember that all test and exam bookings must be submitted at least 10 BUSINESS DAYS ahead of when you intend to write.

In addition, the last day any bookings can be received is the first business day in November, March or July as appropriate for the semester.
