START Accessible: What to Expect
This two-day, in-person event is taking place Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30, 2024.
SAS provides orientation programs to help students transition to life as a university student with a disability. These programs are for students who are new to the University of Guelph and who have a disability. Students must submit a SAS Application Form in order to be eligible for the START Accessible programming. Learn more about our Summer SAS Events.

Living on campus?
If you completed the START Accessible RSVP requesting to move into residence early in order to participate in START accessible here are some additional things to note:
- Your Student Card will be at your residence front desk
- You can move in any time starting Wednesday, August 28th at 9am
- The START Accessible check-in desk will be in the Rozanski Concourse and open at 10am on Thursday August 29th. It will continue to be open throughout the Info Fair
- The START Accessible Welcome starts at 11am on Thursday, August 29th
- Be sure to check-in to START Accessible between 10am-3pm (Rozanski Concourse) to avoid early move-in fees
Other things to do during START Accessible:
- Pick up your Student Card (if you didn’t get it at residence)
- Visit the bookstore
- Attend Thursday night START Accessible social activities
- Build your O-week Schedule
- Find your classrooms

Important: Tests & Exams
If you use the SAS Exam Centre, please remember that all test and exam bookings must be submitted at least 10 BUSINESS DAYS ahead of when you intend to write.
In addition, the last day any bookings can be received is the first business day in November, March or July as appropriate for the semester.
