COVID-19 Update

Posted on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022

Students who are using the SAS Exam Centre are still required to wear a mask, comply with the vaccine mandate, and use standard distancing practices. These requirements will be in place until the end of April. Individuals who do not wear a mask in the Exam Centre may be turned away without the opportunity to complete their test/exam.

For information about what to expect as the campus heads into final exams, you may wish to review the university's full COVID-19 update for March 30. Here are a couple of highlights:

  • Labs, lectures and exams may shift to remote delivery if there is a cluster of cases in a learning environment. Instructors will let students know if such a change is needed.

  • If you’re sick, stay home, contact the COVID-19 call centre and complete a Student Self-Declaration form. You are not required to provide proof of illness (i.e., medical documentation) if you miss a lecture, lab or assessment due to illness or isolation requirements.

  • If you get sick and will miss an exam, contact your program counsellor immediately.

  • Free rapid testing kits provided by the Government of Ontario are available from local pharmacies and grocery stores. U of G has also ordered additional rapid testing kits for students. Pickup locations will be provided when we receive our order.

Important: Tests & Exams

If you use the SAS Exam Centre, please remember that all test and exam bookings must be submitted at least 10 BUSINESS DAYS ahead of when you intend to write.

In addition, the last day any bookings can be received is the first business day in November, March or July as appropriate for the semester.
