Indigenous Peoples Day
SAS acknowledges the importance of Indigenous Peoples Day as an opportunity to celebrate First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples, and to reflect on the intersection of Indigenous identities and accessibility. In this context, it is important to hear from Indigenous voices - may we suggest The Inconvenient Indian: A curious account of Native Peoples in North America by Thomas King, and A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliott.
