Exam Centre During COVID-19
As a result of COVID-19, the SAS Exam Centre has limited capacity to invigilate exams on campus. Quizzes, tests and exams that are conducted online are expected to be accommodated online.
If the online format of a test or exam introduces new barriers that cannot be accommodated remotely, then permission may be granted to write in the exam centre. Students with these needs should discuss them with their SAS advisor.
Masks are required in the SAS exam centre.
SAS will not be able to lend out headsets/earphones, calculators, pens, pencils and erasers, etc. Students must bring their own.
Food and drink may not be consumed in the Exam Centre unless it is an approved accommodation.
Students will primarily be seated on hard plastic chairs with a thin vinyl cushion that can be cleaned. Cloth and ergonomic chairs have been removed and will only be provided if they are an accommodation approved by the student's SAS advisor.
If students are using the SAS Exam Centre, arrangements must be made at least 7 days in advance.
Online Quizzes, Tests and Exams
Unless specifically asked to do so, students do not need to email their instructors to tell them about their time-based accommodations. Instructors are expected to request a list of students by sending the date of their tests and exams to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will produce a list for the instructor about a week ahead of time.
If a student is uncertain about whether their instructor(s) have made the necessary arrangments with the Exam Centre, they should contact the instructor directly.
