Mackenzie Carter
Prior to earning her master's degree in physiotherapy from McMaster University, Mackenzie completed her Master's Degree in Professional Kinesiology and Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology at Brock University. There she worked as a student trainer on-field and as a student sport performance coach off field with a variety of varsity teams. Following her degrees she spent time working as a kinesiologist in British Columbia focusing in on her passions for concussion rehabilitation and women’s health while working sideline with rugby teams.
Working with many teams and playing varsity women’s football herself, she has had the chance to find what drives her. Mackenzie prioritizes the ideology that rehabilitation involves not just the physical, but also the emotional and mental sides of healing. She is committed to developing person-centred treatment plans that support long term performance and well being.
During her work at the HPC, Mackenzie is looking forward to learning from the incredible health performance team and embodying what it means to be a part of the Guelph Gryphon Community
