
Aly Hodgins
Aly graduated from McMaster University with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2010. She began working at the Health and Performance Centre back in 2013 where she enjoyed working with the Varsity Women’s Soccer team for several years. Since transitioning to working in high-performance sport in 2017, Aly has supported Cycling Canada, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Skate Canada and International Curling athletes compete at the highest level. Aly attended the Paris Olympic Games as a member of the therapy team supporting the Canadian National Track Cycling athletes. Aly enjoys working as part of an Integrated support team to help athletes of all skill levels achieve their performance goals.
Outside of clinical work, Aly enjoys mentoring the next generation of Sport Physiotherapists. She has two young daughters and enjoys riding her road and mountain bikes in the summer and curling in the winter.
Aly holds a Sports Physiotherapy Diploma, FCAMPT designation, certification in Integrated Dry Needling (CIDN) and a High-Performance Certification (HPC). Aly has assisted in research in the area of Cycling Saddle Health and has presented on the topic to both the amateur and high-performance community. Aly continues to travel with the Canadian Track Cycling team at international competitions.
