SAS Daily Drop-in

Body: 

 Students can access timely, same-day assistance from SAS staff members

Daily Drop-In offers same-day support from SAS staff. Get help with accommodation processes, SAS procedures, exam booking, notetaking, and other questions related to your accommodations. We can also help connect you with your Advisor to follow-up on specific concerns if needed. 

Fall 2026 Schedule: 

  • When?
    • Monday to Friday 11am-12pm  
    • Thursdays from 5-6pm (*NEW*) 
  • Start Date?
    • Thursday September 10th
  • Where?
    • In-person (JT Powell Building, Room 2259), or  
    • Virtual (MS Teams Chat [1] – please click this link to be connected to an SAS staff member)

Semester Start-Up Blitz: 

  • Come join us for support with requesting your accommodations, booking your exams, requesting your notes, and anything else for setting up your semester for success!  
  • Extra hours: September 14-18th 10am-12pm 

If the regular Daily Drop-In time conflicts with your schedule or is otherwise inaccessible for you, you may book an appointment with an Accessibility Assistant [2] (in-person or virtual) at an alternate time.  

Use Daily Drop-In for help with: 

  • Using the SAS Student Portal   
  • Anything that can't wait until your SAS Advisor's next available appointment   
  • Figuring out what kind of help is available   
  • General Questions about Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD)   
  • Barrier-free routes around campus   
  • Accessible furniture in classrooms   
  • Requesting a letter about your accommodations or information from your file   
  • Borrowing equipment   
  • Notetaking   
  • Booking exams   
  • Understanding SAS procedures or how to use your accommodations
