START Accessible Schedule

Day One: Thursday, September 1st

This is flexible day which allows you to move through the stations and attend sessions in your own time

Up until 2:00 p.m

  • Commute to Guelph
  • Move into Residence
  • Explore Campus

2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Info Fair and Services Roam - Rozanski Concourse

  • Check in for START Accessible
  • Visit Info Fair Resource Roam
  • Connect with Student Leaders

2:30pm OR 3:30pm START Accessible Welcome - Rozanski 104

  • Both parents and students are welcome to this SAS welcome

4:00 pm Student Leader Mingle Bingo - Meet at the cannon

  • Connect with your Student Leaders and other future Gryphons

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. BBQ - University Centre Courtyard

  • Parents, Students and Staff

6:25 p.m. Good-Bye Parents say good-bye & return home

Evening Social Programming

6:30 p.m. Arboretum Walk Meet at the Cannon

  • Spend an hour exploring this campus hidden gem

6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Games Café - Roz 106

  • Drop-in to play some board games with student leaders and other students or bring your own

8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Movie Night - Roz 105

  • Join student leaders and new friends for this movie experience

Day Two: Friday, September 2nd

10 am –Noon SAS Tours - Meet Outside Powell building

  • Visit Library Accessibility Services, SAS Exam Centre and Student Accessibly Services. Tours leave continuously up until 11:45am

1:00 pm SAS Advisor Meet and Greet - Check in MacKinnon 2nd Floor

  • This session is presented by your individual advisor and will cover important information around your role and your advisor’s role, and how to work together. (Make sure you remember your advisors’ name)

2:30 pm Cookie Check In - MacKinnon 2nd Floor Lobby

  • Join us for a cookie and check in with staff and students!

2:30 pm – 3:30pm EXAM Accommodations 101: Roz 104

  • If you will be using exam accommodations, such as extra time, this is a vital session! Learn how to schedule your exams, what you can and cannot bring to exam, the different types of tests and testing at university and the deadlines you must meet to receive your exam accommodations.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Photo Scavenger Hunt

  • Join your fellow students and student leaders in this campus scavenger hunt and find some unique spots on campus
