Applying to the University of Guelph

Admission Services [1] provides all of the information you need to apply just the same as any other student.  In addition, if you have a disability that you feel has adversely affected your grades, you may want to read more about prospective students [2] who experience a disability.  You may also wish to review our transition planner [3]. [3]

Register with Student Accessibility Services (SAS)

Please note that even if you had contact with us during the application process, you will still need to register after accepting an offer of admission by completing the SAS Application Form [4] and submitting supporting documentation from a qualified health professional. Please review the documentation guidelines [5] for more information.

Get your UofG Email

This is the primary way the University communicates with students.  Be sure to regularly check your email throughout the summer months for important notifications.

Attend an SAS Transition Program

  • SAS is participating in START On Campus [6], a program offered by Student Experience, over the summer months to help you prepare for the year ahead.
  • START Accessible [7] is an orientation program in the last few days of August for all new students with a disability.

Review our Important Dates & Events Schedule

Mark your calendars for these important dates & events!  [7]

Student Experience

The Student Experience department at University of Guelph provides a number of transition programs for all new students of all abilities, including startonline.ca [8] and Orientation Week [9].

Financial Aid

If you require financial assistance, be sure to apply for OSAP [10] as soon as possible. In addition, there are some scholarships, bursaries, tuition relief and other awards to help offset the disabiltiy-related costs of your education. Be sure to ask your SAS Advisor for more information.

Find more information on our Funding & Bursaries for Services & Equipment page [11].
