Whatever it is, we are here to support you. The U of G offers on-campus wellness resources for Black, Racialized & Students of Colour, as well as 24/7 support for International and ELP Students:

 

Counselling Sessions for Black, Racialized & Students of Colour

  • Fall/Winter Semester Drop-in Hours: Wednesdays from 1:00–3:30 pm
  • Meet in-person (Student Experience office, 3rd floor of the UC), or virtually by phone or video call
  • Sessions must be pre-booked: the booking system opens every Monday morning for the selected week, or you can book the day of
  • Free access for all students who self-identify as Black, Racialized or a Person of Colour

SSN Drop-ins for Black, Racialized & Students of Colour

The Student Support Network (SSN) is a group of trained student volunteers who provide confidential support and referrals while following the guidelines for peer counselling. The SSN is closed in the Spring/Summer semester during Winter Break, during Reading Week, and when the university is closed for snow days. 

  • Fall/Winter Semester Drop-in Hours: Mondays from 4:00–6:00pm
  • Please note the SSN is closed during Summer Semester and Reading Week
  • In-person: JT Powell Building, 1st Floor, Room 1149
  • Appointments are drop-in style – booking is not required
  • Free access for all students who self-identify as Black, Racialized or a Person of Colour

GuardMe is a virtual mental health support service available to University of Guelph International and ELP (English Language Program) students. Get confidential, ongoing support from counsellors who understand your culture and speak your language.

  • Available 24/7 via chat, phone or virtual appointments
  • Free to access for University of Guelph International and ELP (English Language Program) students
