Substance Use & Addiction:

Student counselling and addiction support (including smoking cessation) can be accessed via referral from a doctor in Health Services. Make an appointment to speak with a nurse or doctor on campus for details.

Mental Health & Stress Management:

Support may be initially provided through the Student Wellness Mental Health Navigators, who provide service to students with questions or concerns about their mental health and connect them with the most appropriate resources and service pathways within Student Wellness and beyond. Refer to the list for self-guided resources available both on campus and virtually. 

UofG IMPACT Mental Health Response Team:

The Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA) and the University of Guelph Campus Safety Office will work together to provide supportive mental health crisis care to those in need. The Integrated Mobile Police And Crisis Team (IMPACT) is an example of what is possible when community partners work together to support our community. . Learn more here. 

Diabetes Support:

Students with diabetes can obtain a free container for syringe disposal and return it to Health Services for biomedical waste disposal. For more information, call to speak with someone in Health Services at 519-824-4120 ext. 52131 Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
