Our Health and Performance Centre and Eramosa Physiotherapy team collaboratively work using an evidence-based model to promote health, implement strategies of prevention and assist in the achievement of personal performance in both athletes and active individuals in the community of Guelph. The Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship provided in collaboration with Eramosa Physiotherapy Associates will offer a comprehensive learning experience and advance the practical skills of the participants to develop leaders in both sport and orthopaedic physiotherapy.

An Overview: Concussions In Sport

An overview of the "Concussions in Sport" Symposium, which took place January 17th 2013 at the Health and Performance Centre. Sports doctor, Dr. Margo Mounjoy and physiotherapist, Brett Lyons discuss the definition of a concussion, diagnosis, treatment options, return to play, special populations and finally, prevention. This overview is not only a helpful tool for players but for coaches and trainers as well who are managing an athlete with a sports-related concussion.
