March to the beet

Beets are back in season, and we’ve got a simple, delicious juice recipe that’ll put them to good use. Beetroot juice has long been touted by professional athletes as a natural performance enhancer. Even if you’re not an elite athlete, adding beet juice to your diet can help improve oxygen flow, which can benefit your workout.

At the very least, beets provide tons of nutritional benefits, and boast a high level of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxification properties. So, go ahead, give them a try!

Beetroot juice recipe:

  • 3 carrots
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 beet, with green leaves
  • 1-inch chunk of ginger root
  • 1 organic lemon, with skin
  • 1 clove of garlic
