Drop-in Peer Support

The drop-in peer support space is located in Raithby House across from the cannon in the heart of campus, as well as in the McLaughlin Library (Room 111).  A team of student volunteers, extensively trained in active listening and communication skills, is ready to provide a supportive ear to any member of the campus community.

The drop-in at Raithby House operates during the Fall and Winter semesters from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday while classes are in session, and 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm during scheduled exam weeks.  The SSN is closed during statutory holidays, reading week and the Summer semester (May - August).

Within McLaughlin Library, drop-in operates from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, we also offer a Varsity Athlete drop-in.

After hours and phone support are offered through Here 24/7 at 1-844-437-3247 for crisis services, or Good2Talk at 1-866-925-5454.
