Academic Support

As indicated in the University Calendar for Academic Consideration, "documentation" is required whenever psychological/emotional grounds are identified as the primary reason for academic difficulties.

Students are well advised to first seek letters from their physicians if the problem is medical, to seek academic intervention from their Student Accessibility Services advisor if the situation involves a pre existing or intermittent situation covered by this service, and/or their Academic Advisors especially regarding compassionate grounds. Counsellors cannot guarantee that academic letters of support will be written as each case is individually assessed.

Letters of academic support are not provided for walk-in appointments (except in highly extenuating circumstances).
