What We Offer
We offer a wide range of services to support the faculty, staff, and students of the university. These services include:
Individual counselling is available to all students who meet the eligibility requirements for ongoing services. It is free of charge and confidential. View our staff directory for a list of current counselling staff.
Therapy groups are available to students through a referral by a counsellor. Check out our current therapy groups and feel free to ask your counsellor about any groups you may be interested in.
Over the course of each semester a number of groups are offered focussing on stress management, test anxiety and exam performance, and dealing with worry and sleep issues. To find out more please call extension 53244.
In addition to stress management groups that may be offered through counselling services, more information on current groups and offerings can be found at Kathy Somers' website. Kathy Somers offers sessions on stress management and more for a nominal fee for Guelph Students.
Students can be assessed through Counselling Services or Health Services and in appropriate situations, academic recommendations may be made. View our Academic Support for more information.
